When choosing a photographer make sure to ask the following questions:

Ask the photographer to see a complete set of wedding images from one event. Have you shot at my location before? Can you work from a photo checklist? How long after the event will proofs be ready? Can we keep the proofs? Do you have liability insurance? Do you have a back-up plan in case of illness?

Make sure to hire your photographer 6 to 12 months before the wedding.

On the day of the wedding the phographer is probably going to spending more time with the couple then any other hired individual. The wedding day is one of the most important moments in ones life. Couples should feel comfortable discussing anything that’s on their mind with their photographer.
